Wherein I Use The Phrase Navigaytress

Hello. Yes, I'm on vacation again. See, certain people felt it necessary to MOVE to far away lands and I can't live without them.

So, I'm at Camp Shifty for the weekend kicking it back.

Kicking it back has included:

*giving Jon the full San Francisco experience (complete with Ghiradelli Square and Pier 39)

*eating a whole bag of peach rings

*Jon made Carolyn the "Navigaytress" which we decided was possibly the worst word ever created. Maybe even worse than Tunis Whortman.

*hanging out with the Chinese Mafia at a rehearsal dinner for a wedding I won't be attending

*two trips across the Bay Bridge

*overheard several conversations I probably shouldn't have, one involving $3,000 and how it didn't matter if it came from the City of Los Angeles or Stuart but that money must be present by Monday

*coordinating a caravan involving three returning world travelers (there was a sign!) and LAX and the Central Coast

*sleeping not really

*experimenting with gas mileage: we drove evenly at 65 the whole way and doubled our mileage

*had milk and cookies (seriously) with some grandparent-types we didn't know because we were dropping off someone they knew and we kinda knew and when we called to say we were close the ma-type put the cookies in the oven so they would be fresh! and then, the pa-type came out playing taps on an old old trumpet and wearing paint clothes because he was also in the process of repairing the hand brake on the car and he explained that he was practicing for a salvation army funeral he was playing for that afternoon (?!)

Pictures tomorrow!

Comments

I love SF! Ghiradelli Square is the best!

Indeed, Jon has truly bested the Whort. I am impressed.

I just want to see the pictures for I cannot believe the words.
