Chocolate you could have bought me

05202.BusyBunnyBasket.jpg

Long Grove Confectionary Co. had an outlet near my home growing up and occasionally (read: often) we would stop there on the way to or from something (read: anything). My mom would always make my brother and I wait in the car. She said it was so the candy would always be a surprise but I think it's because taking kids into a candy store is the craziest idea ever.

Even when I was older and licensed I felt nervous going there. What if my mom knew I had been spying on the outlet candy?

I'm thinking about calling them and seeing if they've got easter stuff on sale they'd like to send me.

Pictured: Easter Busy Bunny Basket (top) $15 Very charming basket filled with solid chocolate bunny, crispie nests, Bavarian pretzel and foiled chocolate carrots.

Easter Egg Assortment (right) $5.50 each Fabulous flavor combinations; each beautifully decorated by hand. 4 assorted: Vanilla Buttercream with dark chocolate, Creamy Peanut Butter with milk chocolate, Chocolate Fudge with milk chocolate and Coconut Cream with dark chocolate.

There are no permalinks for the items, but check out their Spring/Easter catalog and send me some chocolate.
