week in pictures

(very exciting news at the bottom!)

mary-kate or ashley? you decide. mary-kate or ashley? you decide.
I somehow messed up the settings on my camera so that half the time I take a picture "manually" it over exposes like crazy. Which means I end up with pictures like this which either make me look way cooler than I am or just a poser. You decide.

It's finally open! It's finally open!
They've been building this since I moved in January and it just opened the other day. It's in a wasteland type area of my commute (as wasteland-y as suburbia can get) and I'm really hoping it will bring some other cool stores too. Also, every single time I passed it I thought to myself, "I should have been taking a picture of this every day. That would have made the most awesome (boring) photo essay ever." Next time I see a new cement truck appear in the wasteland I am totally starting this.

i feel blue i feel blue
Old Navy was having a huge sale last weekend and I decided I needed new sweatshirts. Because, uh, they are totally business casual. And now I am in love with this new mustard-colored sweatshirt. LOVE. Oh, and when my manual settings aren't over-exposing, they're turning everything blue. Which is, I'll admit, fun.

thank you, abc, for interrupting grey's with this important commercial thank you, abc, for interrupting grey's with this important commercial
For those of you still wondering, I definitely watched The Office live and then Grey's online Friday night. And on Wednesday I watched ANTM followed by Private Practice live. I watched Gossip Girl online on Thursday night (before The Office).

I'm so glad happy that network TV understands that I need shows to be online. Unfortunately, my computer doesn't understand this and sometimes gets so overheated that I can't hear the show over the sound of the fan.

poor little catalytic converter poor little catalytic converter
I guess the check engine light came on because my catalytic converter needs to be replaced. This expensive part controls the air flow through the engine. Or something. Anyway, I totally cannot afford to replace it but my mechanic said that's okay. Just make sure I replace it before I have to smog again. Here's hoping I get wealthy before then.

and we're back to the smog and we're back to the smog
The skies were clear for about a day after the storm and then they went back to blargh. Which is what makes the beautiful sunsets.

In other news, M STUFF will back starting Monday. It will be a little different and more like I originally intended. And I'll be doing National Blog Posting Month again this year and will hopefully (fingers crossed!) win a prize this time. So, yeah, somebody please give me some ideas for 30 days of posts. Thanks.

The most exciting news, though, is...

[drum roll please]

Heather Anne is blogging again because she is a dirty whore and can't stay away. So add or re-add her to your feed.

hey, lady, you stop talking about my heather anne like that.

blog quitters of the world UNITE!

Why, thank you Kat.

I really need that television viewing chart we discussed, Schil. And do not call me a whore again or Kat's gonna get mad!

It could also be blog quitters of the world UNTIE!

I could become rather philosophical whilst discussing the reasons for and seasons of blogging (having been a "student" ;) of it).

But, I won't.

Lucky you.
