« It's like I have ESPN or something! | Main | Ben Franklin was here. »

Greetings from Philadelphia!!

I'm here with Kat and Jennie awaiting Heather's arrival (Collective Meet Up!). I took the red eye last night so that I could best maximize my time. This was mostly accurate as only a very small portion of it was spent in an airplane or airport. BUT a very large portion of it was wandering around this morning trying to decide whether sleeping was a good idea or where I might be able to sleep or when could I convince the hotel to let me check in or what sites should I see with my freebie morning?

Sites I saw with my freebie morning:
*Starbucks near hotel (they serve the hot sandwiches that got pulled out of California in January so it was a personal victory)
*a hostel that I thought I might be able to stay at for a couple hours but they close during the day so no
*some building sponsored by the Dept of the Interior which I thought would be really cool (cause National Forests and stuff) but turned out to be really lame and yet I stayed there on a bench reading for an hour because I was so tired
*a postal service museum in the Ben Franklin estate-area-house-whatever that is totally outdated and during the entire hour I read there no one came in and asked me why I was camped out in the 'seum reading and stealing wireless internet
*the hotel lobby for a million hours

There is a long story full of rage about my relationship with this hotel and I shall spare you all because I promised certain people here in this room with me that I will let this go. After I met up with those certain people we went and got some lunch at a place where people were mean. MEAN. They did not live up to the name of City of Brotherly Love. Things after that are kind of a blur. I fought with the hotel, we waited around for a while, we finally got into our rooms and then we started the drinking and internet reading. I remember having a lot to drink and then we went to get dinner at this place that looked like a diner but was actually a hipster restaurant and those people were nice so thank you, hipsters, for giving Philly back its nickname. After we ate delish hipster food we went to a bar where I couldn't drink anymore because I was too effin cold. The end.

I did the overnight flight thing with New York, and I definitely ate a hot sandwich from Starbucks as my first order of business. All I remember about that day was wondering around trying to find places to read, but needing to get up every hour or so to prevent falling asleep in the middle of Times Square.

"I don't remember Abigail posting this."

"Dude, she read it OUT LOUD to us."

"Really? I don't remember that at all."

"Do you remember how I kept making her go back to the sammiches part because I didn't understand about the sammiches?"

"Uh... not so much."

Kat says you read this out loud to us last night, but I don't remember.

DUDE, YOU READ IT ALOUD.
