Asthma, Interrupted

The problem with suffering asthma while I'm sleeping is that I'm not fully aware of what is actually happening.

It goes a bit like this:

COUGH COUGH COUGH.
COUGH COUGH COUGH.
COUGH COUGH COUGH.
COUGH COUGH COUGH.

Roll over. Wonder why my chest hurts.

COUGH COUGH COUGH.

Damn, I need a new bed. This bed is making my lungs hurt.

COUGH COUGH COUGH.

Who the hell is making all that noise? Are they strangling me too?

COUGH COUGH COUGH.

Roll over again. Hey! When I sit up my chest doesn't hurt as much.

COUGH COUGH COUGH.

Is that me?

COUGH COUGH COUGH.
COUGH COUGH COUGH.
COUGH COUGH COUGH.
COUGH COUGH COUGH.

And, then, right before I pass out I realize that I'm the one making all the noise and that it's actually directly related to the lessening lung capacity and if I just reach out my hand and get that inhaler I can stop all the noise and all the pain and go back to sleep.

This thought process? Takes over 20 minutes.

well the next time you want to go to sleep you can just tell yourself that little story.

1. When I was little my parents would wake me and force cough syrup in my face. Was I coughing? Yes, you woke us up (My room is downstairs and across the hall from them).
2. Heather is my hero.
3. She'd probably repeat her comment to my comment.
4. And again for the comment to my comment comment.
5. Moo with me!

"What a moo point?"

"A cow's opinion. It doesn't matter. It's moo."

Fall asleep holding your inhaler in your hand?

Again, thanks for the idea for a new device I should develop.

Sensors detect possible coughing. Implant in arm moves hand towards inhaler, initiates grab inhaler procedure, proceeds to move inhaler to mouth and commences pumping action.

No human brain processing required.

Sounds perfect.

now, if I could only get this...implant... to do that for alcohol, coffee, etc, I'd be set.

Please don't hesitate to place your orders with Aakanksha.
